Exploring My Art
My work is deeply influenced by the environment and culture that have shaped me. Growing up in communist East Berlin, I was immersed in a society where the state championed and celebrated art. My early passion for artistic expression was ignited in this unique setting.
After witnessing the transformative fall of the Berlin Wall, I embarked on extensive travels across the Middle East, Africa, and America. These experiences and the profound changes in my homeland have deeply influenced my conscious and subconscious creative vision.
I work across a diverse range of mediums, bronze sculpture, oil painting, and charcoal drawing. My creative pursuits also extend to writing and illustrating children’s books. Recently, I completed a Master’s in Fine Art, further deepening my understanding and practice as an artist.
My work is a profoundly personal fusion of my history, cultural experiences, and artistic explorations, reflecting a lifelong journey of creativity and discovery.
My bronze busts and canvases are featured in national and international collections, including the Irish Embassy in London, Washington, the Carnegie Corporation in New York, Barbados, the Mayo Clinic in London, and the Jersey Ministerial Office.
